TERMS OF SERVICE

Robinson Tree: Your Fully Insured Tree Service Partner

Effective September 15, 2026. These terms apply when you use this website and when Robinson Tree Service carries out work for you. Please read them. If you have a signed estimate, the terms on that estimate apply to your job as well — they say the same things.

Certificates of coverage are available on request.

Using this website

You may use this site to learn about our services, request an estimate, order firewood, accept an estimate we have sent you, and make a payment. Please give us accurate information — we schedule crews and equipment based on what you tell us.

Don’t use the site to do anything unlawful, to interfere with how it runs, or to submit someone else’s details without their permission.

Estimates

An estimate is an offer, not a contract. It becomes a contract when you accept it — by tapping the accept link we email you, by signing and returning it, or by telling us in writing that you accept.

Estimates are good for 30 days from the date on them. After that please ask us for an updated price. Where an estimate offers more than one option, it is not a contract until you tell us which option you want.

When you accept online, we record the name you type, the date and time, and the device you used, and we keep a copy of the wording you agreed to. That record is what we rely on to show a job was authorised.

Work on someone else’s property

You warrant that the trees listed are on your property — or that you have the owner’s full permission for us to do the work. Some jobs also need us to bring equipment across a neighbour’s land; where that applies we will say so on the estimate and ask you to confirm you have their permission.

If a tree turns out not to be yours, you agree to cover any damages or costs we incur as a result.

Payment

  • Payment is due in full on completion of the work, unless the estimate says otherwise.
  • Payment not received within 10 days of completion incurs a 5% late fee, and 1.5% interest per month thereafter.
  • Returned checks carry a $35.00 fee.
  • Card payments carry a 3% processing fee. ACH is free and we recommend it.
  • If we have to collect a debt through an attorney, you are responsible for reasonable attorney’s fees, defined as 33% of the unpaid balance, plus costs of collection.

Payments made through this site are handled by an outside payment processor. We never see or store your card details.

How we do the work

Scheduling. We do our best to meet agreed dates, but we are not liable for delays caused by weather, labour, equipment or anything else outside our control. A delay does not release you from the contract.

Safety. Our work follows the current ANSI Z133.1 safety standard. Please stay out of the work area unless the crew leader says otherwise.

Stump grinding. Stumps are ground 8–12 inches below grade. Excess grindings are hauled away. Stump grinding is not done the same day as the removal — the stumps follow in the next few days. Roots beyond the stump are not removed unless the estimate says so.

Your yard. Heavy equipment causes some rutting. We minimise it, and we use plywood or rubber pads where we can, but we cannot guarantee no disruption. Lawn repair is not included unless the estimate says so. Some jobs must be done with equipment on driveways, walks or curbs, and we cannot accept responsibility for damage in those cases.

Clean-up. We remove wood, brush and clippings and rake the area affected, unless the estimate says otherwise.

Before we arrive. Please move anything movable — pots, ornaments, furniture, grills, solar lights — clear of the trees being worked on, and turn off any irrigation system 48 hours beforehand.

Underground and unmarked services

We are not responsible for damage to unmarked buried utilities — cable, internet, irrigation, mosquito systems, outdoor lighting, drainage, invisible fences or underground cables — unless you have given us an accurate map of them before the work starts. We call 811 for utility marking, but 811 does not mark private lines.

Unexpected conditions

If extra work or equipment turns out to be needed — because of something not made known to us, or something not visible when we estimated, such as foreign material in the trunk or underground — that extra work is charged on a time and materials basis. We will talk to you before doing it wherever we can.

The chat assistant on this site

Our website assistant can answer general questions and pass your details to the office. It gives general information only — it does not quote prices and nothing it says is a binding estimate. Only a written estimate from us is a price. Please don’t type anything sensitive into it.

If something goes wrong

Tell us as soon as possible and we will put it right. Even if you have already spoken to Jason, please email us as well so we have a record and can follow it up properly.

Links to other companies

This site links to outside services — financing, online payment, our review pages. Those companies have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Shelby County, Tennessee.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top tells you when this version took effect. The terms that apply to your job are the ones in force when you accepted your estimate.
