ACCESSIBILITY

Robinson Tree: Your Fully Insured Tree Service Partner

Effective September 15, 2026. We want anyone who needs a tree looked at to be able to use this website — including people who browse with a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, voice control, a magnifier, or with motion turned off.

The standard we aim at

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard normally used to judge whether a website is accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We are not claiming to be perfect — we are telling you what we measure ourselves against, what we have fixed, and what is still on the list.

What we have done

  • Colours you can read. Our greens and blues were darkened so that text meets the required contrast against what’s behind it. The buttons and the footer previously failed this badly.
  • A keyboard can reach everything. There is a “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page, drop-down menus open on keyboard focus as well as hover, and there is a clear visible outline showing where you are on the page.
  • Nothing moves that you can’t stop. The video on the home page and the rotating testimonials both have pause buttons, and the testimonials stop on their own while you are reading or tabbing through them.
  • “Reduce Motion” is honoured. If you have that turned on in your phone or computer settings, the video doesn’t start by itself and the testimonials don’t rotate.
  • Every form field has a real label — not just grey text inside the box that vanishes when you start typing.
  • Pop-ups behave. The call-me-back box keeps keyboard focus inside it while it’s open, closes with the Escape key, and puts you back where you were.
  • The chat assistant announces replies to a screen reader as they arrive, and closes with Escape.
  • Images have text alternatives, and decorative ones are marked so a screen reader skips them instead of reading out filenames.

Where we fall short

Being straight with you about the known gaps:

  • Our payment page and our financing partner are run by other companies. When you press Pay Now or go to apply for financing you leave this site, and we don’t control how accessible those pages are. If you have trouble with either, call us on 901-363-3539 and we will take the payment or the application over the phone.
  • Our blog and some older photographs came across from the previous version of the site. We are still working through them to improve the descriptions attached to images.
  • We haven’t had an independent audit. The work above was done and checked by us. If something doesn’t work for you, we would genuinely rather hear about it than not.

You never have to use the website

Everything on this site can be done by talking to a person instead. Call 901-363-3539, text 901-628-5500, or email RobinsonTree@comcast.net and we will book your estimate, read you a quote, take a payment or arrange the work — no charge and no difference in price or service.

Tell us if something doesn’t work

If any part of this site is hard to use, please tell us what page you were on and what happened. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will get you what you needed another way. We aim to reply within two business days.
